Kinder photos are a huge part of the memories made each year and we want to make this experience amazing for your little ones and their parents!
We pride ourselves on our relaxed and natural play and portrait Kinder photos.
Whimsy & Wild holds a widely known reputation for providing beautiful imagery and fantastic service for families at kindergartens and childcares all around south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Claire holds a VIT Registration, and any assistants hold Working with children’s checks. We also have public liability insurance.
Claire has been a professional Kindergarten Teacher for 15 years and has worked with many children with a range of needs. She has photographed hundreds of little personalities and knows how to engage to get the best smiles!
EASY ONLINE ORDERING - Families can view and order online any time of day or night with a range digital and/Print packages to suit all budgets.
FAST TURNAROUND TIMES - Families have access to photos in 7-14 days after photos are taken!
MULTI IMAGE GALLERIES- We photograph Individual Play and Portrait photos, Class Group photos, Sibling photos as well as staff photos. families get a gallery of approx. 9 different images.

The number of days will depend on your total enrolment numbers at your centre and the style of photos
We provide digital flyers to print for display and send out via email + graphics for social media & communication channels to let your centre families know about photo days.
Families register online with us for photos be taken of their child. We take care of everything from registration, scheduling, ordering and delivery and keep you updated during each step of the process.
Packages are delivered complimentary to your centre on one occasion for parents to collect. This occurs around 2-3 weeks after orders close.
How it Works

We arrive at kinder 15mins before your session start times and begin individual portraits and play photos as soon as possible. All children that have registered for photos will have their photos taken.
We aim to be ready for group images at 10am.
after the group image we will finish off with the staff images before leaving in the early afternoon.
for larger kinders or kinders with a rotational model children will be allocated a day for their photos. Don't worry we will keep you updated so everyone knows when their kinder photo day!
This is a guide only, we are flexible to fit in with the needs and routines of your group!
We start at 8.30am in the youngest group and work our way through to the older groups. We only photograph individual photos for children that have been registered for photos to be taken. We photograph in the play area appropriate for their age level and each child's usual room
We will take staff photos as we finish each room and the kinder rooms group images at an agreed time!
Each day we provide a photography list to each room, we may pop in and out of rooms as needed.

We have travelled to Hastings, Berwick, Drouin, Lilydale, Warragul, Pakenham and officer and of course our local area in Cockatoo, Gembrook and Emerald!

FAQ
Q: Where do you photograph the children ?
A: Children are photographed outdoors in the natural play environment with a few photos taken indoors.
For outdoors we like to use bikes, slides, swings, play forts to capture play and portrait photos.
Q: What happens if it is raining on photo day ?
A: Generally we can still photograph if it's overcast and cloudy with short rain periods. Alternatively
we can set up in a covered area. Rescheduling can occur if it is heavy rain for most of the day.
Q: Do parents have to prepay for a photo package ?
A: No, Parents are required to fill out a registration form, but no prepayment is required. This provides permission for us to photograph. If a registration is not received we do not take individual photos of their child.
Q: When are the photo galleries ready for parents to order from ?
A: The gallery will be available for viewing and ordering approximately 7-14 days after we have finished photographing at your centre. Parents will love that they get to view photos so quickly!
Q: Do the parents get more than one picture to choose from?
A: Yes, we aim to provide parents with a range of approx. 9 images to select from.
Q: How do the parents order & receive their photos?
A: Details to view the photo gallery are sent via email along with an email to the services - Parents can only view their own child’s images and order their package online.
Q: How do the parents pay for their photos?
A: Parents order and pay online with a credit or debit card or via Bank deposit. All
payment is taken care of in the ordering gallery - no payments pass through the centre office
We also have a payment plan option for parents.
Q: How do families collect their photo packages ?
A: One complimentary delivery is made to the centre for parents to collect their photos from.
Complimentary delivery is for orders placed before the closing date for print orders. Delivery is generally 2-3 weeks after the print ordering close date. Orders placed after closing incur a $15 Delivery fee.
Q: How long do photo galleries stay open for ?
A: The online photo galleries remain open for approximately 6 months, digital files and /or prints products can still be ordered while the gallery is open.
