FAQ for Parents
What do I need to do for photos to be taken of my child ? Step 1: Fill out the registration form.  Registration is required PRIOR to photo days. Registration gives us permission to photograph your child. Without registration - no photos are taken individually of your child. 

What are the prices of Photo Packages/ Prints ? We have packages to suit all budgets.

​What if my child is absent on Photo day ? ​​
We understand that sickness/unforseen circumstances occur. As we are at the centre for usually more than 1-2 days there may be an opportunity to come in whilst we are still at the centre. Please Contact Us to reschedule your child's photos during our time at your centre. If we have finished our photo sessions at your centre we may be able to come back on 1 occasion only (depending on availability)

What should I dress my child in for photo day ? The best photos are not always about fancy clothes but rather about seeing your child's happy beautiful face. Nice clean clothes are really all that’s needed. We love to see individuality, if your kinder has a uniform you may like to wear free dress for the day!​ If you have specific instructions - please note it in your registration form and let the class teacher know. We are not able to reshoot if children are not in the correct clothing.

Do you take Sibling photos ? Yes, absolutely ! We love capturing the interactions and love between siblings. We photograph siblings If they are both/all enrolled at the centre - we photograph them at some point during the morning that you have selected for photos. SIBLINGS  PHOTOS ARE TAKEN ON THE YOUNGEST CHILDS SCHEDULED PHOTO DAY.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not photograph siblings NOT enrolled at the centre 

Do we photograph Friendship and cousin photos ?​
Yes, by special request only for Kinder age children. Due to privacy rulings, I need written permission (an email is fine) from parents of both/all children in the friendship photo as photos are shown in both/all galleries of children in the friendship photo. Please arrange this ahead of time to avoid disappointment. 

What if my child does not want to be photographed / is shy ? Claire our Lead photographer is a registered early childhood teacher and has lots of experience with shy children! our service also allows more time with each child this often gives the opportunity for your child to warm to us during the morning. Sometimes a smile may not happen but a cute expression might – or we may capture them doing an activity they love. For the nursery/toddler age - we do our very best to capture them whilst they are awake during the morning session. If they are sleeping we come back to them at a later time slot in the morning of the session.​

Ordering Photos
What if I have lost my email or haven't received my email with photo viewing details ?
No worries, just email claire@whimsyandwild.com.au and let us know your child’s centre, class and FULL NAME and we will get back to you with a new one.

I am confused about ordering online ? If you are having troubles accessing your child's online gallery or working out how to add items to the cart email Claire@whimsyandwild.com.au if I cant help you via email I will organise a phone call to solve your problem! Phones and tablets display the cart a little differently and can be trickier to use - so where possible please use a desktop/laptop computer to order. 

How can I pay for my photos? Payment is done by credit card or Paypal in the online cart  or Direct bank deposit 

How long do I have to order printed photos ? The due date for orders will be notified by email AND at the top of your photo gallery. We also send a few emails to remind families. There is a 10 day ORDERING PERIOD after the galleries open so please ensure you place your order by the due date. Orders received by the due date are delivered complimentary to the centre for collection. We do one complimentary delivery only to the centre. 

What happens if I don't order by the due date ? A postage/late fee of $15 applies and your order is posted out to you within 28 days . Please ensure you do order by this date in order to avoid this fee.

I purchased digital files but have not received them ?​ Your digital images are able to be downloaded instantly once paid, your purchase conformation will have a link and instructions. Firstly - check your junk/spam/other mail ​folder to see if it landed there. Second - make sure you are checking the email you ordered with. If you still cannot locate an email contact claire@whimsyandwild.com.au and we will send a new link.

When do I receive my printed photos ? Photo prints and packages IF ordered by the due date will arrive at your centre approximately 2-3 weeks after the PRINT CLOSING DATE .


I have forgotten to download my purchased digital photos? ​ It is recommended that you download straight after receiving your images by email. It's easy to forget otherwise. The link will still be active to download within 6 months of your kinders photo day. All photos are removed from online storage at the end of the year. You will need to pay an administration fee for them​ to be sent to you after this timeframe. Please backup any photos to a 2nd location to avoid loss of files. 

I ordered digital files - where can I get them printed ? ​ you are welcome to print your images at any printing service of choice. We do however not recommend using department stores such as Kmart, Big W as the print quality is poor. professional printing services will give you the best results!
